The General Chairperson of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), hopes that the Indonesian Logistics and Forwarders Association (ALFI) can encourage the national logistics industry by focusing on digitalization of logistics in Indonesia.
Through ALFI, it is believed that it can compete domestically and globally to support Indonesian exports and imports with efficient operational strength, competent, strong human resources and capable performance.
“In the Indonesian National Logistic Ecosystem (NLE) blueprint, we see five focus areas for the digitalization of the logistics industry that must be of concern,” said Arsjad Rasjid in an official statement, Wednesday (10/27).

The five focus areas for digitalizing logistics in Indonesia are,
1. Logistics Process Automation
Automation is one of the main focuses in logistics digitalization. By adopting technologies such as robotics and automated systems, logistics companies can reduce human error, increase operational speed, and optimize resource use. Automation also allows real-time monitoring of logistics processes, facilitating faster and more accurate decision-making.
2. Use of Big Data and Analytics
Leveraging big data and analytics is key to optimizing the supply chain. By collecting and analyzing data from multiple sources, logistics companies can identify trends, predict demand, and optimize delivery routes. Data analytics also helps identify potential problems before they occur, so that appropriate preventive action can be taken.
3. Digital System and Platform Integration
Integration of digital systems and platforms enables better collaboration between different parties in the supply chain. By using an integrated digital platform, logistics companies can share information in real-time with suppliers, customers, and other business partners. This not only increases transparency, but also speeds up the delivery process and reduces operational costs.
4. Digital Infrastructure Development
Developing adequate digital infrastructure is one of Kadin’s main focuses. This includes improving internet networks, providing secure data storage facilities, and developing advanced communication technology. Strong digital infrastructure allows logistics companies to adopt the latest technology and improve operational efficiency.
5. Cyber Security Enhancement
In the digital era, cybersecurity is a very important aspect. Kadin emphasizes the importance of protecting data and systems from cyber threats. By implementing strict security measures, logistics companies can protect sensitive information and maintain customer trust. Good cybersecurity also helps prevent operational disruptions that can harm business.
By focusing on these five key areas, Kadin hopes to drive digital transformation in Indonesia’s logistics sector. Digitalization will not only increase efficiency and competitiveness, but also support sustainable economic growth. Logistics companies that are able to adopt digital technology well will have a competitive advantage in the global market.
